Monday’s Guest Speaker was Belinda Wotton. Belinda is the Chief Executive Officer of the New Zealand Campus of Innovation and Sport (NZCIS), a unique facility in Upper Hutt that has become a hub for high-performance sport, major events, conferencing and accommodation.
Under Belinda's leadership NZCIS has continued to grow both its national and international profile, hosting and supporting major events, including the FIFA Woman's World Cup in 2023, the World Wheelchair Rugby Qualifier for the Paralympics, the Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific Championship, and welcoming international teams such as Wrexham AFC, Young Matilda's NRL Dolphins Rugby League, Carlton United FC, and Melbourne Demons. It also provides a training and performance base for the Phoenix Football team, the New Zealand All Blacks and Black Ferns Rugby teams, along with the Wellington Hurricanes Rugby and Poua Women's Hurricanes Rugby teams.

Belinda has an extensive background in executive level management with multiple leadership roles spanning the UK and NZ over the past three decades. She was Managing Director of the largest teacher recruitment company in the UK. She led a team of 150 staff based in Canada, South Africa, Jamaica, Australia and New Zealand as well as the United Kingdom within a variety of industries.
As a lover of sport and all things Netball, Belinda has coached a number of Wellington premier and representative teams over the years and holds a Performance Coach Award through Netball New Zealand.
Governance roles include Board Member and interim Chairwoman with Netball Wellington Centre as well as previous Board roles with Whitireia Hospitality and Tourism Faculty and the Porirua Chamber of Commerce.
Belinda’s vision, along with her team of exceptional individuals at the New Zealand Campus of Innovation of Sports (NZCIS), is to continue to grow and develop the Campus as a centre of excellence for sport skill and fitness training, as well as health and injury rehabilitation.
She is a warm, encouraging person who will do everything possible to enhance and develop the athletic ability and strong honest character of an aspiring individual.
