We are proud to nominate this year's RYLA candidate, Madi Arps. Here is her introduction: Kia Ora! I am 17 years old (at time of writing), and I am just completing Year 13 at Naenae College.
I have many passions in a range of areas, including STEMM, Girl Guiding, Leadership, Community Service, and Empowering Others. I do my best to be involved with as much as I possibly can. This includes School Prefect, Brownie leader, Venturer Executive Secretary, GirlBoss: Edge – Law Policy and Government, Innovative young minds: 2018 program & Silicon Valley 2019, and four years on the Ranger Advocacy Panel.
I have earned my Queens Guide, I’m almost finished Queens Scout and am also working towards Duke of Edinburgh awards. My brother attended the RYLA Program in early 2020 and has had only good things to say. I am looking forward to the opportunities that RYLA can afford me.
