Recently there have been 3 opportunities to learn about Rotary and it’s many initiatives. These were
*Conference of Rotary Oceania (Napier)
*District Assembly (Whanganui)
*President Elect Training (Whanganui).
Robin Fenwick attended all 3, and last week he reviewed what had been addressed.
There is a widespread concern among our Clubs about membership. A dynamic situation has arisen in which the departure of some members (for many reasons) is not matched by an inflow of new recruits. Club members contributed their ideas of what this observation might mean. Thank you Robin for your thought provoking presentation.
Cynric has also written 3 books - The Cause of Death, The Quick and The Dead and The Perfect Murder and all of the proceeds go towards The Grassroots Rescue Helicopter. From the sales of these books, he has contributed $104,000.00 the rescue helecopter. The books will be on sale on the night.

Colin Fenton provided the parting thought at the end of our meeting -
"The moving finger writes and having writ moves on. Nor all thy piety nor wit can lure it back to cancel half a line, nor all thy tears wash out a word of it"
A reminder that it's your responsibility to find a replacement if you are unable to fulfil your duty. Please let Jan Palmer know of any changes to the roster.
