Last Meeting: Our Club Christmas Party
President Jan hosted the evening and began with thanking the many people who had helped her to get her presidential year underway.  For a collection of the year's events and guests so far, click HERE!
For years we have enjoyed the catering excellence of Brian & Kay Lummis's Chalet Caterers.  Tonight was certainly no exception and the food was once again outstanding.  Thank you!!
Regarded by many as being one of the very best Christmas Parties ever, we were entertained by David Dell.  He performed a delightful mixture of both Christmas and New Zealand songs, many of those he had composed himself, giving the background to those Kiwi songs.
And the evening was topped off by a very special solo performance by our beloved Paddy Wells, singing one of those all-time favourites, "O Holy Night".

General Notices:

* Entertainment Book: Thought of buying one as a Christmas present?
  • Vouchers have been put on a mobile phone instead of in book form, because no-one goes anywhere without their phone these days.
  • One membership can go on 4 phones so any member of the family can get a discount for different things.
  • The book lasts for a year, whenever you buy it, and the year starts when you use your first voucher.
Contact Anne Abbott if you want to get an Entertainment book, or to see what you are buying for your money.

* Christmas Puddings: Also contact Anne Abbott for that last chance to order your Christmas Puddings.

* Centenary Book of Rotary in New Zealand: To purchase the Manga Tangata Rotary history book, contact either Colin Alford or Tony Cornelius.

What does the acronym PETS mean?
For a long time, PETS has been the acronym for 'Presidents Elect Training Seminar'.  For us, the new Presidents Elect, this first training was over a weekend held at Massey University on 21st and 22nd November.
