President's report to Club Forum - 21 November 2022
The new Rotary year got off to a wonderful start with the celebration of the 60th anniversary dinner held at the Boulcott Heritage Farm Golf Club on 29th June.  It was a real pleasure to present the latest of Paul Harris fellowships to an ex-member of our club Sir John Clarke.  Since then, our committees have all been busy on projects and I will entrust the respective Board members that lead our committees to report on the activities they have been engaging in so far.

* Club Polo Shirts

We have three important (public) events coming up, for which the wearing of the club polo shirt gives members a sense of identity and the public a visual image that we are working on behalf of Eastern Hutt Rotary.  These events are the raffle ticket sales, the golf tournament, and the Walk for Mental Health. (There will be other events later)
Jaye has a restricted number of shirts available and will bring them to Monday’s meeting for sale. Cost is $25.00

"Why be a Volunteer
Its not the money, it's not the fame
and it's not for any personal gain
It's just for love of fellow man
It's just to lend a helping hand
It's just to give a tithe of self
That's something you can't buy with wealth
It's not the medals worn with pride
It's just for that feeling deep inside
It's that reward down in your heart
It's feeling that you've been a part
of helping others far and near
That's what makes you a VOLUNTEER"
