Guest Speakers -  April & Danny Langstraat 
Determination, grace and maturity were three words that came to mind whilst April Langstraat spoke to us on 26th May of her “Ballet Adventures”.
Over the past six months, April has gone from being a talented dancer … to winner of the silver medal at a huge World Competition held in Florida … to being offered a scholarship at the Princess Grace Dance Academy in Monaco.

* Healthy in the Hutt' - Saturday 14 June, 10am-1pm at Walter Nash Stadium
A reminder for members to come and see an amazing array of health-related displays, information, and activities. See you there.
 
* Monday 16 June - Partner and Friends Evening
 
President Mike has designated Monday 16th June as a 'Partner and Friends' Evening, to hear Professor Rebecca Grainger speak on Digital Doctors and Dodgy Joints.
 
Stuart Batty (Rotary NZ Community Service) will also speak briefly about Emergency Response Kits (ERK's).
 
Please let Tony Cornelius know of any attending partner or friends, preferably by Friday morning (to assist with catering), but 4pm Sunday at the latest.
 
“Digital Doctors and Dodgy Joints” by Professor Rebecca Grainger  
Rebecca Grainger is a rheumatologist in Wellington and a Professor of Medicine at University of Otago Wellington. Her clinical and research interests include digital technology in supporting musculoskeletal health care and how digital tools can support people in self-managing. She will talk a little about her work as a doctor, and research and innovations in technology and health. Be warned you should go away with something you can do the following day to improve your health!

Venue -  Boulcott’s Farm, 33 Military Road, Lower Hutt.
A time to thank Jocelyn for her year and welcome Carol to take over the reigns.
There is a small charge for lunch.

Healthy in the Hutt - Saturday 14 June 
Te Omanga Hospice Outdoor Furniture Refresh 
 
Some settled dry weather over Kings Birthday weekend enabled us to complete this project for the hospice.  Their outdoor furniture was looking rather tired and was in need of a refresh.  We stripped & cleaned the timber surface, then applied two coats of furniture oil.  In total there were 11 chairs, 3 coffee tables, 5 bench seats and an outdoor table.
