General Notices

* The roster can change weekly with absences etc so please check the roster each week to see if you have a duty.

* River Valley Rotary Club - Stokes Valley Xmas Parade - Saturday 2 December
A reminder for those members helping out at the Stokes Valley Christmas parade tomorrow, please report to the Rotary Gazebo, Speldhurst Park, Evans St, Stokes Valley by 10:45am.

(Or earlier if you want to look around the  marketplace stalls).  You  will be provided with a briefing and a high viz vest and allocated a road each that adjoins Stokes Valley Road.
These roads will have a cone or two waiting for you to cone off just before the parade passes through to prevent traffic interrupting the parade.  The parade starts at noon taking approx 25 minutes to pass and finish at Evans Street.

* 2024 Science Forum
The student we are supporting to the 2024 Science Forum (shared with Upper Hutt Rotary Club) is going to be visiting the Upper Hutt club on Monday 11th December.  Upper Hutt Rotary have asked if any of our members would like to join them that evening at the Cosmopolitan Club in Upper Hutt in the upstairs room.  Assemble at 6pm and the meeting will start at 6:30pm.  The cost is $36.00 per head as it is their Christmas buffet.  There are several members going, so if you would like to attend, please let Kathy know.

* Entertainment Books
If you dine out, or go out for coffee, think about getting an Entertainment book.  For the first 2 weeks in November, they are giving a 25% discount on a 12 or 24 month membership, and an extra $10 donation to our Rotary Club. They make great Christmas presents.  Please contact Anne if you want to take advantage of either of these offers.
Parting Thought

 June provided the parting thought at the end of the meeting -
"You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending." CS Lewis
